WHO WE ARE
NeReMa is an international network founded in 2020 to promote interdisciplinary research on marble and decorative stones. It fosters collaboration among its members by providing a platform for the exchange of knowledge and study of marble and other decorative stones from the Middle Ages to the Contemporary.
NeReMa is open to art and architectural historians and scholars from different disciplines dedicated to exploring, sharing and preserving knowledge about marble and decorative stones, its uses and aesthetics and cultural significance. It aims explicitly at a global perspective and seeks to promote scholarly excellence and innovation, embracing the full range of questions and methodologies.
WHAT WE DO
NeReMa promotes meetings and workshops on different topics related to marble and decorative stones, in collaboration with major international research centers, universities and institutions. It provides a platform for scholarly exchange with international experts and encourages participation from scholars in all phases of their careers.
